There are days in which we feel that we really don't have time to get an effective and satisfying workout in. However, what if I were to tell you, you can get exercises in throughout the day without doing a full work out? Would you believe me? Well, it is true you can do quick exercises throughout the day if you really are busy and don't know when to schedule a workout session.
Many of us find ourselves doing multiple things at once and over committing to certain projects. While that may be a good thing one thing you need to keep in mind is to put your health first. Regular exercise will help you in the long run and keep you healthy. There will always be days when you feel overwhelmed with work or family and there is no time to work out. Here are some ways to exercise throughout a busy and over whelming day.
Every time you stand up or go to the bathroom do squats at least 3-4 sets of 20 squats
When you're in the kitchen or standing in a room alone you can either use a countertop or the wall to do some pushups at least 3 sets of 2o pushups
While sitting down do arm circles, clockwise and counterclockwise
Whenever you stand up try doing some standing oblique twists
Try calf raises whenever you get the chance
Take a walk for lunch or after you eat walk it off, so you won't have to feel stuffed afterwards
If you're working in an office building skip the elevator and take the stairs
If you're home with your kids incorporate them into your exercises to teach them healthy habits or use them as your version of dumbbells, like putting them on your shoulders while squatting
Try getting in the habit of doing a 7-minute HIIT or Tabata workouts
Non-Exercise Tips
If you're sitting all day eat light and healthy, you don't want to eat a meal that will leave you stuffed and just sit in your stomach (that doesn't feel comfortable)
Drink plenty of water
Eat plenty of fiber
Try cleansing out your system
Doing exercises like this are also a good way for you to start exercising regularly if you don't exercise already. The more you do them and realize the effectiveness the more you'll want to do them and therefore you'll be creating better habits for yourself in the long run.
