It's the weekend and you've just been invited to go out for brunch, but you have no idea what to wear. Go through your closet, pick out some items, and mix and match them to see which outfit you would want to wear for brunch. Here are some ideas on what to wear to brunch.
Casual Brunch Date
If you're going to a casual setting for brunch and don't see the need to overly dress for brunch, go for a pair of jeans, casual top, either a solid or printed blazer or cardigan. To keep the theme of casual and comfort of the outfit add a pair of flats, sneakers, riding boots or wedges that will be perfect for a post big meal walk around the neighborhood Top the outfit off with a pair sunglass, a hat, and your go to handbag. Since it's still the summer you can go for a pair of linen pants instead of jeans. Try olive green linen pants with a light and breezy top and a pair of sandals. Style your hair in loose beauty waves or your favorite braid and your favorite summer makeup look. This would be the perfect outfit for your statement necklace as mentioned in my previous article, Statement Pieces to Own to Make Your Outfits Stand Out. Check the link below.

Work Brunch
Your office has decided to treat its employees to a special business formal brunch and you're curious of what you should wear for the day. Since the brunch is a business formal setting think about a professional outfit. You can either go for the figure flattering dress that can be worn day or night and that can be dressed up or down. Another great alternative can be a peplum or a wrap dress. When choosing accessories think about studs for earrings or small pearls. As for the necklace go for a pendant necklace to keep the professionalism of the look. Heels help to round out the butt, but nude or pale pink shoes help to elongate the leg and will give your outfit a different touch than the classic black heels. If you're looking for something to make the outfit stand out, try a pair of red heels or a bold print. A printed shoe will maintain the professionalism of the outfit while adding a trendy touch. If you want to wear pants try navy blue ankle pants, a crisp white button-down blouse, and a blush blazer will also do the trick not to mention you'll look the best. For this look you can wear a slightly thick gold necklace but not too overwhelming for a jewel touch.

Formal Brunch
Occasionally, it's nice to treat yourself to a luxury outing and you've decided to go a Michelin star restaurant for brunch. Now we get to the fun part and that is how can we put our creative style minds to work. What should we wear? Many of us have clothes and shoes that we bought for that "special occasion" (separate from work) we keep waiting for but hasn't happened. Well now is the time to take advantage of the moment. The special occasion dress, skirts, pants, and shoes you've been waiting to wear you can finally wear! Even though brunch is still early in the day don't let that stop you from a smokey eye by using earth tone colors that blend well in the afternoon and keep the lips neutral. Put on the dress you've been longing to wear with your new shoes and enjoy the mimosas.
